With urban growing and experiential learning, we can teach kids where food comes from, educate caregivers on affordable food resources, and help people of all walks of life understand the challenges of hunger—so everyone can make a positive difference. By putting down roots with room to grow, we can nourish children to reach their full potential. We can’t wait to share stories and updates from the farm throughout the year, as we prepare for 2018 to be the first full growing season.
We utilize urban growing to produce fresh fruits and vegetables for our Sack Supper program, and to increase access to healthy foods in low- income neighborhoods.
Inspiring Healthy Choices
We connect youth with food in a holistic way, from soil to Sack Supper, by offering short- and long-term educational opportunities. By offering experiential learning opportunities with internal programming and collaborative partnerships, we ensure that youth have greater knowledge and skills they need to make healthy choices, lifelong.
Further Engaging Our Community
This program will allow us to engage more volunteers, more often— building on caring individuals’ eager generosity in exciting new ways.
