For thousands West Michigan children, Sack Suppers mean school lunch doesn’t have to be the last meal of the day. With the help of these volunteers, we provide the security and consistency of guaranteeing that meal each and every weekday.
Of the many volunteer opportunities available, one of our most critical volunteer opportunities is for being a Sack Supper delivery driver. These volunteers deliver so much more than meals to the dozens of schools and summer sites we serve across West Michigan, they help provide comfort to the children who now know they have the nourishment they need to learn and live well.
Drivers come to Kids’ Food Basket on a scheduled day each week to deliver Sack Suppers to assigned schools. Depending on your location, driving shifts typically take 1-1.5 hours.
