Great for school and church groups, sports teams, neighborhoods, scout troops, etc.

Food Drives: During the last school year, we sent out over 1,750 sack suppers daily!  We are always in need of food to put in the sacks.  You can view our updated Wish List or you can call Jane Berkey at (616) 235-4532 to see what we might need.

Decorate Sack Supper Sacks:  Decorate a bag and brighten a day!  This is great for anyone who wants to make a child's dinner ever-so-special with more than just a brown sack.  Purchase 8 lb. paper sacks (or extra large) and decorate them for an upcoming holiday, with positive messages, or cheerful decorations.  Since these sacks are going to public schools, we ask that there be no religious messages on the sacks.  This could be a great activity for an evening church group, groups of young children, groups of seniors, or as a service project.

Trail Mix Project: This is great for a large group!  We have a recipe for making some of the best trail mix in Grand Rapids!  The group collects the ingredients, mixes them, and goes to work scooping and bagging individual portions for the sack suppers.Trail Mix must be assembled in a facility licensed for food preparation.

Snack Sack Project: This is great for a large group!  Make small snack suppers for the children to eat on long weekends and holidays.  Your group will collect the ingredients and fill up the sacks to make these snack packs.
