At Kids’ Food Basket, we don’t see ourselves as the chief heroes in this important work. We see our team as the chief hosts in empowering and inspiring our community to ensure that every child has access to good nutrition. As we play host to you – our dedicated volunteers and donors – we are constantly motivated by your passion for providing kids in our community the nutrition they need to learn and live well. Together, we are creating lasting change for thousands of kids in West Michigan.
That’s why we feel it’s important for us to give, too. This year, Kids’ Food Basket staff, board of directors, and the Shannon Family Foundation is matching every donation on Giving Tuesday, dollar for dollar, up to $25,000.
We’re doing this because we know, first-hand, that every $1 makes an impact. Join us this Giving Tuesday in ensuring West Michigan is a responsive, vibrant, and caring place for children to grow and thrive. One in five Michigan kids suffers from hunger each day. Your gift can change that, by providing kids in our community with nourishment they need to reach their full potential.
Every dollar donated provides one nutritious Sack Supper to a child living in poverty.
Nourish a Child
Kids’ Food Basket is a nonprofit organization attacking childhood hunger to help young people learn and live well. We began over ten years ago by serving 125 kids each school day through our Sack Supper program. With the support of hundreds of volunteers, we now serve over 6,000 kids each day in greater Grand Rapids and Muskegon.
We are a 501(c) 3 tax-exempt organization. Our tax-id number is 04-3760991. Your gift qualifies for a charitable deduction on your Federal Income Taxes.
