It’s that time again. Although the Michigan weather is getting brisk, it’s never too early to start setting goals and training for the Fifth Third River Bank Run on Saturday, May 12.  Kids’ Food Basket is thrilled to be a River Bank Run charity partner once again, and we hope you will consider joining our team.  We are recruiting walkers and runners or teams of runners to not only run for fun and fitness, but to run to attack childhood hunger!

- Join our team – Individuals, groups, and corporate teams are invited to run for KFB.  If you are unsure about what it means to run for KFB either contact Andrew, andrew@kidsfoodbasket.org, or attend the Fifth Third River Bank Run information session at Gazelle Sports. Find out simple, effective ways to raise funds at the free charity partner event at Gazelle Sports-Grand Rapids (3130 28th Street SE) on 1/26 from 6:30-8:30p.  This event is open to the public with no fundraising commitment required and will feature refreshments and register to win opportunities.

- Register at Fifth Third River Bank Run and select KFB as your charity of choice, but you need to go one step further.  Please contact Andrewandrew@kidsfoodbasket.org, to learn how you can create your own online fundraising page and encourage your family and friends to support you.  Our link is http://www.active.com/donate/runforkfb2012  and once you click on this link, you will then want to click on 'Individuals' to create your own page.

- The first runners to join the team are eligible to receive their entry fee into the race waived!

- KFB team members are eligible for discounts, charity partner perks, and discounts on training programs through Gazelle Sports.

Last year, the incredible KFB team of runners and walkers was able to garner over $6,000.00 in support from donations collected. No matter if you walk, run the 5k, 10k, or the 25k, you can make a difference for kids by joining the KFB team. Set your goal today and run to attack childhood hunger!
